What-I'm-Reading-Wednesday - The Cross Centered Life

Last year I got CJ Mahaney's book The Cross Centered Life. I really love this little book. CJ does a great job keeping the main thing, the main thing. This is a really short book, and it's easy to read. There happen to be 7 chapters, so right after I got it, I was reading a chapter a day, and repeating each week. I used the daily readings as a devotional each morning. I plan on starting that up again.

Am I glad I read it? Absolutely.

Will I read it again? As much as I can.

Reflections? I particularly liked the chapter on overcoming legalism. Very liberating. This book resonates with me, because I try so hard to never "get over" the Cross. I don't want to ever stop being amazed that Christ died to reconcile sinful and wicked people like me to God.

Recommended? Unequivocally.
