Time To Hit The Books

I had a very interesting conversation with a good friend of mine this morning. I won't go into the details, but it was very encouraging to me. In light of our conversation, I decided to get back to something I started a few years ago...

I've always wished I could go to seminary. At this stage in the game, I just don't think that's going to happen. But I figure with the wealth of resources we have here in the West, surely one can get a seminary-quality education without going to one, if he/she is sufficiently motivated. I had this thought a few years back, but as I got more confused about what God wanted me to do, and where He wanted me, and more busy with life in general, I just let it slide to the back burner. So I'm thinking "What the hey?" - I'm going to give it another go. I'm going to try to outline a course of study, and get to learning. It may not contain all the stuff I'd learn in seminary, but I'll have to play that by ear, with trial and error, and input from some trusted friends. I'll chronicle my progress on this blog.

  1. Have you considered Chuck Colson's excellent Centurions Program?
